Comments: | Just adding [rK]. Not easy to distinguish from あらそう, but it seems like there's enough out there to lean toward [rK]. Sankoku has only 抗う, that confirms something about modern usage at least I think. Android gives only 抗う. (MacOS IME offers all three) Seems like 争う will usually be あらそう, and noting this as [rK] here confirms this isn't ambiguous for most practical purposes. The next few Japanese people I see, I'll ask them to read 運命に争う and report back if something interesting comes back from that... (encountered in recent anime as hiragana with the common 運命 collocation, was curious if the other forms were useful) |
