right of permanent residence

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denization
Denization is an obsolete or defunct process in England and Ireland and the later Kingdom of Great Britain, the United Kingdom, and the British Empire, dating back to the 13th century
  Comments:
Never heard of "denizenship". Double-checked to make sure this wasn't common in some English dialect (appears to be obsolete British).

First news hit was about how tribes of animals interact with each other in the wild.

Added "residency" because both forms are common, and might help in searching for this common (for foreign language students) term.

"right to" "right of" seems to be purely a matter of preference (they seem equally common as far as I can see). Residence/residency also seem pretty evenly matched. If anyone has any has any particular insight here...

  Comments:
This seems like a perfect opportunity to use [sk] for "cleanup". (I currently work for a company called Globalization Partners, and had a heck of a time trying to type this just now in katakana...)

I've marked the secondary form グローバライゼーション[sk] as my "vote" for the most useful choice in a 和英辞典. I think it is evident that if you want to type "globalization" in Japanese, you should 100% choose グローバリゼーション or グローバル化. The alt form グローバライゼーション, mentioned by daijs and others, just serves to say "this is not technically misspelled if you see it in Japanese", but otherwise I see little purpose for its inclusion here as a surface form. Considered with グローバル化 it is under 1%, and it appears in about 6 wikipedia articles, vs. hundreds with the common spelling.

But if this is an overreach, and it needs to stay because daijs affirms it, you should drop the [sk] from the second entry.

I drafted the gloss before looking at the ChatGPT translation, and didn't base my suggestion on it.
I've checked quite a few terms with it, and it's often quirky with single terms. I think it has a role to play in the development of entries but at present it certainly can't be a primary reference.
4. A* 2023-04-04 23:49:26  Marcus Richert <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
Not commenting on the change itself but I don't think we should use ChatGPT as a reference - it "hallucinates" something crazy and is all too happy to totally make up things as it goes along.

ChatGPT: "The Japanese term "式変形" can be translated to "algebraic manipulation" or "algebraic transformation" in English. It refers to the process of manipulating mathematical expressions or equations to simplify or transform them into a different form while preserving their mathematical equivalence. This process is commonly used in algebra, calculus, and other branches of mathematics."
