Comments: | I think the indefinite article is important here. Google n-grams might offer some more clarify on the relative commonness of those kanji forms. 一揃い offer appears directly after a noun (e.g. 茶器一揃い, ゴルフ道具一揃い). Does that make it a suffix? |

|
Comments: | 供揃え has an identical meaning, and identical popularity in yourei texts if someone wants to add it. Hard to prove a negative, but I'm going to go out on a limb and call this [hist] and not [rare] or [form]. There are weird cases of 供揃い/供揃え on twitter, but outside of actual historical references, they seem unrelated to this entry (they aren't retinues of people accompanying an important figure). The term is used (in any spelling) on wikipedia 8 times, all are historical(plus the book of poetry by Appolinaire). |

Comments: | This term is easy to find examples of, and I think the meaning is fairly transparent. [some collection of works]は傑作揃いです。 It just means that all of the works previously identified are masterpieces. "A collection of masterpieces" was my idea for a gloss, but google translate actually gives the same phrase in isolation. There is nothing ungrammatical about "full array of masterpieces", but if you google this you won't find much in English in any context. I was going to leave it as a second option for a gloss, but I don't think it's particularly beneficial. (I have yet to find a place where I would use it as-is). I found someone who used the previous gloss in the wild (pretty clearly a J->E manual translation): http://wotaintranslation.com/2019/12/30/the-music-of-the-lennon-mccartney-of-osaka/ 136: 名無し募集中。。。 2018/11/11(日) 08:55:12.25 0.net Even among all the rest of Tsunku’s works, this one especially is just a full array of masterpieces. Why did they give this to the Kenshuusei…? They would have been better off with "is a collection of masterpieces". |
