The "fake news" Donald Trump loves to complain about is sometimes translated as "虚偽報道" (see ref) but this is quite different from what most people understand by the term "fake news" (that is, completely made-up stories that don't come from news organisations).

I don't see any evidence that there needs to be any reading restrictions.

『「九連宝橙」「九連宝塔」は誤字である』 -> [iK,rK] tags.
Not sure if we necessarily need these forms, but they do get n-gram hits.

*ポウトウ is by far the dominant pronunciation. see:

*パオトウ is in daijr/s but *ポウトウ doesn't appear to be.
daijs also includes 九連寳燈 and 九連寶燈, but they get 0 n-grams.

九蓮 gets slightly less n-grams than 九連, but I'm leaving 九蓮
in the first position since it seems to be the standard
form (preferred by Kindai Mahjong, the wikipedia article, and the
top web search results for チューレンポウトウ)

I agree it's very new and that it's maybe not absolutely clear it's an established expression yet, but I would instead prefer to keep it for now and revisit later to see if it's still used (and delete it if it's not) because our users might very well come across it right now and want to look it up. Seems like a waste.to not allow them to find this entry now that we've made it.

  Comments:
This is how I'd gloss it.
But I'm not really convinced this is an established term. It only appeared in a few dozen tweets in 2022. The recent tweets and coverage in articles and on まとめ sites over the past couple of weeks appear to stem from this one tweet that went viral on 5th January: https://twitter.com/pacotuma/status/1610838468556652545. The oldest tweet that contains 片親パン is from October 2021.
The term has provoked a lot of outrage but there's little evidence it's commonly used.
I think it's too early at this stage to determine whether it's worth adding. I suggest deleting it and coming back to it in a year or two.
