Since we are removing 人衆 on the same grounds, this better go too. I've added it to the glossing file, where it might be useful.

I quite see your point, but to analyze it that way takes a fair amount of prior knowledge. A relative beginner seeing 3人組み might not get there.
I think it's worth keeping.

When "adj-f" first emerged and got described as "noun or verb acting prenominally" I think I had in mind that the verb would either not be conjugating or was conjugated already, as in 得も言われぬ or ああいった. Then along comes 信用できる/信用できない and mucks things up. I'm very tempted to say that if a verb is usually prenominal, don't have a v1/v5x tag. I think that should work, and 信用できない can fend for itself. Of course 食べる doesn't get an "adj-f".
So, I guess I'm back to Marcus' earlier position, and drop the verb tag for these cases.
11. A* 2018-06-25 20:01:42  Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...>

seems like the adj-f is unneeded. e.g., 食べるもの means 'things to eat', but we don't mark 食べる or any other verb as adj-f. i suggest adj-f not be used anywhere that it's tagged as a verb

this is standard non-idiomatic application of ~かける, which is an extremely productive suffix for which we have an entry. i don't think it is needed

I ran across this in a book, and when I googled it, I got 20,000 hits for 終わりかける and 500 for 終わり掛ける, but I couldn't find it defined anywhere. The meaning "to come to an end" reflects my understanding of the word, but pleasefeel free to adjust it if you have more insight.

i've put in the entry for 読んで字のごとく. since one is a conjugation of the other, i'm not sure both are needed. also, i'm pretty sure this one is not an adverb, it's an adjective that cannot be used prenominally. perhaps this could be added to the glossing dictionary as a redirect.

In looking this up, I found four variations: ことし、如し、ごとく、如く. Since ごとく & 如く have a different reading, I'm assuming they should be a separate entry, so that's how I'm entering them.

Seems common usage of 挟む/はさむ. Eijiro has:
道路を挟んだ向かいに住んでいる : live across the street from my house
壁を挟んだ : cross-border
I've suggested adding the "to be across" sense to 挟む, and perhaps that's enough.
1. A* 2012-12-14 23:58:16  winnie <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
I'm not confident about the part of speech for this one. It's used as an adjective: "廊下を挟んだ隣の部屋には...", "男女別の浴場の廊下をはさんだ反対側" and it seems to be more common in that past-tense adjectival form than the regular verb form -- 廊下を挟む -- although that exists also. So I may be completely wrong, and it should be entered as 廊下を挟む instead, although I'm not sure what the proper meaning would be for that... "to be across a hall", "to be separated by a hallway"...?
