is the [lit] gloss necessary/helpful? my dics all say something along the lines of it being used especially within christianity, esp. to refer to another (non-monotheistic) faith.

so paganism/heathenism seems to capture it perfectly without the lit gloss. (e.g. Buddhism is the dominant faith in Japan, but dics tell us it is more likely to be among minority Christians to refer to the majority faith)

We can't drop the notes *and* make the kanji forms search-only. It's one or the other. 煉る, 錬る and 邌る aren't variant or irregular forms. Given that they're all rare, the notes probably aren't needed.

Seems a common term in the bottling industry at least.

I saw it in a manga with furigana saying "monozuki". it's meaning as "curious" or "odd" fit quite well.
it seems to imply that a もの好き person likes curious things, and hence is curious himself.

i'm not sure how much credence i give to this dictionary... they call it [n,vs]... i would have assumed it was [adv,vs]. also, their first example sentence appears to refer to a video game character and there appears to be a note about not molesting women at the end of it. (which i suppose is a good thing, but rather odd for a dictionary). if legit, the suggested first sense makes sense
