Comments: | Regrettably, I can identify no more obvious references. The verb seems to have manifested on Japanese web forums (such as 2ch and Futaba) some time in the last three years, and its usage -- frequently unrelated to actual influenza outbreaks -- seems to imply the definition I've given here. The best evidence that I can give is that it now appears in tags on Nico Nico Douga, as seen in the Reference that I have linked. |
