Comments: | I don't have any concrete references, but I know from personal experience that this term is used in Japanese weddings (e.g. it's written on the programmes) to indicate the beginning of the reception, just after the bride and groom have entered the banquet room/hall and taken their seats at the head table, but before they make their welcome speech to the guests. It usually appears in the phrase 開宴の言葉, and is spoken by the MC. |

Comments: | no, they're not dupes. they should be, but there's something weird happening here this entry is ベーだ. the other entry is べーだ ベーだ べーだ i don't see a difference, but there must be a difference in the dash or something. they aren't being recognized as the same. i changed this entry so the dash is the same one produced by my ime (which is the dash in the other entry, not this one) i'm merging the other entry in here and reopening |

Comments: | I don't think we need katakana "be"+hiragana "e", super marginal and makes the entry more confusing than it already is with two identical-looking readings. Not sure the "-だ" entries should really have been merged in here, syntactically I believe they are different. |
