Most JEs call it a radical:
GG5: 〔漢字の〕 a side; a (left-hand) radical 《of a Chinese character》.
ルミナス: (漢字の) left(-hand) radical of kanj, 木+へん the tree radical of kanji
I don't think it needs changing.

I have a doubt regarding the term "radical" is this translation of 偏. I found "radical" as the meaning of 部首.
However one 偏 is not necesseraly a 部首.

Hi, this is another "vs" entry where all definitions are nouns and the verbal meaning and transitivity is consequently unclear. For example, in this case it is not clear if 満足する means "to satisfy", "to be satisfied", or both.

The current definition says: 旁 【つくり】 - right half of a character when the left half is its radical. The part "when the left half is its radical" is false and should be omitted. 旁 is simply the antonym of 偏. While 偏 refers to the group of kanji that their radical is on the left hand side, 旁 is the group of all right hand radical kanji.

  Comments:
According to my reading of daijisen, the meanings are different.

Might not be true for other dictionaries.

The only shared element is the kanji headword. Readings And meanings
are different, so not 2/3.

it simply isn't true that it is usually written in kana. there are a huge number of words in the dictionary (and in Japanese in general) that share a headword with another term and therefore require some disambiguation on the part of the writer or reader. to say that they are "usually written in kana" when they are not is to make the [uk] tag meaningless

First result when googling the term reveals it, came across
the wording when reading the Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi manga volume
3, lot of expressions in there that aren't in the dictionary,
or don't have the proper nuance in the English translation.
Very good dictionary though, that's why I'm adding to it :)
