Comments: | It is read ちからわざ. No dictionary has it, but in the gloss for 力業/ちからわざ, GG5 and 新和英中辞典 have: "〈力仕事〉 heavy work [labor]; 〈力技〉 a feat of strength." One site (http://www.wdic.org/w/TECH/力技) quotes a 電算用語の基礎知識 as saying its English gloss is "brute force", (力任せに行なう処理のこと。 in Japanese). Another (http://www.practical-japanese.com/2010/10/blog-post_7403.html) simply says: "力業(ちからわざ)の誤記、誤変換。「力業」は強い力に基づいて行う技や、やり方などを幅広く指す表現。 " They can't all be right. |
