Comments: | Hi. For many entries marked "n,vs", only a noun definition is given. This is often fine because it is easy to see what the verbal ("vs") meaning must be. However, in some cases, such as this one, it's less obvious. It would be nice in such cases to be given an explicit definition of the verbal meaning. |

Comments: | I see we have separate entries for 上下: うえした, じょうげ and しょうか (and かみしも, but that's a bit different...) GG5 also has じょうか. It (GG5) says じょうげ, しょうか and じょうか are the same (it makes じょうげ the primary one) so I think some merging is in order. We at present have うえした and じょうげ with the same meaning, so a largish merge may be in order. Daijirin generally has じょうげ as a meaning, but seems to have some subtle differences between them. My inclination is to have a grand merge of all of them, with some sense restrictions and "esp. ..." as appropriate. |
