I've said this several timea before but I
don't think it's an issue when one of the last
glosses in an entry doesn't exactly match the
register of the original word. "shit-eating
grin" is a pretty good translation, it's a
common English expression and will sometimes
be the best translation, if not every time.
doyagao is col if not vulg so it's not really
that much of a jump to begin with. It's also
good for reverse look-ups.

Yes, it's a fragment.

  Comments:
this is just 行[1]+目[7]. you can use 目 to make an ordinal out of ~any~
number+counter combo, so i think this should be rejected

I know I am editing my own entry a lot here, but it seems from the context of what I am translating at the moment that this refers to a dedicated fire brigade which belongs to or is hired to protect a particular building, rather than the more general "local fire brigade". Any input is welcome.

Should be merged with "吸殻" / "吸い殻"

Seems to be a nice combination of ideograms and onomatopoeia for "cigar"

wait, never mind. i was remembering wiki's/gg5's entry for あぶらな which i
looked up earlier today. i'm also at a loss for this one.

wikipedia has some info that's similar to what gg5 offers though they differ on
the species name. i know a leading brassicaceae systematist i can contact
should it prove necessary, though she doesn't speak japanese
