Comments: | I don't think [med] is enough to undo the implications of "irritability", so I added a parenthetical. Search wikipedia and you'll only get 5 hits for this. 4 fit this simple definition. The other is on Ritalin and ADHD. I *have* seen this in the context of ADHD http://shinrigaku.hannnari.com/ae.html irritability 被刺激性 irritable aggression 苛立ちによる攻撃. (note the different vocab used) This is a long article on 戦争について 脳の被刺激性亢進, which google has translated as "Hyperstimulability of the Brain", which I think is awesome. stimulability... https://ameblo.jp/meiekisakou-mentalclinic/entry-12734520196.html The article isn't about being "perturbed" so much as "negatively affected in an unsupressable way" by outside stimuli. If "irritability" is used in an ADHD context in English, it can't be separated from the image of an upset person. I'm not quite sure this has the same implications in Japanese... but this is beyond me. What I feel relatively confident about is that laymen don't use this to describe each other as "irritable". (basically non-existant on twitter, mostly a few Chinese references) I'd mark as [rare], but it's correct as medical jargon. |

Comments: | Odd that GG5, and リーダーズ+プラス only have the "sacking; bagging" sense. |

Comments: | also, i'm not sure that sense 2 shouldn't be listed first. it has its own wiki page and yahoo enc entry, and it's the only sense listed in kokugos. obsc is probably not warranted in any case. |

Comments: | -reading goof fixed -i think the meaning here is a touch different than 裏地, in that it is surrounded by private land, and you therefore have to use private roads to get to the public roads -i ~swear~ i submitted this yesterday mentioning that i was confused about the 'sacking' bagging sense. but it doesn't show up in the records at all (in accepted, rejected or deleted), so i guess not. |
