While this term is often loosely translated as “comic strip”, it’s specifically a *serial* (which is what the 続き indicates).

I think I specifically heard this is the context of a serial cartoon *on TV*, but I’m not sure, so I don’t feel comfortable including that. (As noted at 漫画, the term is sometimes used for animation, and I think this is such a case – a cartoon series/show – but this needs checking).
