Comments: | The [spec2] tag should not be used this way. It is *not* a lower prio version of [spec1], the way [ichi2] is a lower prio version of [ichi1]. Items with [spec1], [spec2], [ich1], [news1] and [gai1] are marked as common, while items with [ichi2], [news2] and [gai2] are not. So despite the "2", [spec2] is a first level prio tag. This is a source of confusion, and few third-party apps and sites get this right. ---- However, 浸かる is common enough for a [spec1]. |

Comments: | つかる is in Koj 5th ed. as a kun reading. It's obviously rather marginal, but I'll add it to kanjidic. |

Comments: | i'm not sure it should be recorded. it's not in daij, nor my kanji dictionary. and kojien appears to have removed their kanwa jiten from newer editions. regardless, 浸かる should get spec2 since the less common headword is tagged |

Comments: | Your amendment adds the clarity required by my request; especially as it is followed by an example sentence in the search result, namely: "1000円札をくずしていただけませんか。 Could you break a 1,000 yen note?"; which sentence generally provides a reasonable match for the text which I was reading. I had somewhat anticipated that had I made a new submisstion based upon "お金を崩す", it would have been rejected. |
|
4. | D* 2013-09-22 19:05:22 Rene Malenfant <...address hidden...> | |
Comments: | 1) i don't believe this is nagoya-ben, and the sense of 'breaking money' is already addressed in the entry for こわす. this is not idiomatic, as こわす can also be used with other terms, for example, kojien has: 1万円札をこわす. 2) regarding the proposed entry for お金を崩す (which should have been submitted as a new entry, not a comment here), i do not see the need. it is standard use of くずす. to make this clear, i have split the senses in that entry |

Comments: | In various text, I see "お金を崩す" is also used for the same purpose as the above. The above gets many millions in Google hits. However, "お金を崩す" also gets the odd few million hits so maybe you would consider a separate entry with a cross reference back to the above. I guess that it would not be possible to combine two entries into one. |
