I don't think "ersatz" is a good translation. まやかし means fake/counterfeit. ersatz means imitation/substitute. I'll add ersatz to 模造.

I ran across another meaning for this word.  It is used in the book I'm reading as the translation for "ersatz".  It's just a variant on the other definitions, but I thought it might be worth adding, since there is no other translation for "ersatz" in the jmdict.

Adding an entry for よーし.

Hi, this is a suggestion for a new entry -- nothing to do with ヨーシン, but I cannot get the "New Entry" form to submit. I just keep getting "syntax error" with no clue as to how to fix it. Unless it's just me being particularly slow, you may want to look at that form and make it usable for casual users.

Anyway, the purpose of my comment is to suggest that an entry for よーし be added. I understand it means "all right"?
