| Comments: | Added "audience" to 聴取社 and realize it belongs here as well. [sk] on リスナ This morning a Japanese teacher in one single sentence confirmed to me: * 視聴者 can be used for radio audience, wouldn't bother her (this surprised me, I expected at least a little hesitation) * But usually you'd see/hear リスナー instead I won't die if the xref is removed, but I do like the explicit analogy of the two "audience" terms, one for listening audience, one for viewing audience. They seem like the dominant terms in the two domains. And "kids these days" (youtubers, streamers, ticktokers, etc.) care a *lot* about viewership and audience size, so I think it's useful. |

|
| Comments: | I did *not* expect eijiro to have a dedicated "podcast listener example". It gives 聴取者 and リスナー as equivalent in this context. Japanese speaker reported not knowing this word at all (quite familiar with sense[1] of 聴取 though). Sampling twitter and news hits, [form] seems logical for modern use. "audience" by analogy with 視聴者, is supported by eijiro and reverso. One plural of "radio listeners" is audience. Should have added it to リスナー I think. |

| Refs: | 秘肉 1,765 Google's AI when googling it: 「秘肉(ひにく)」とは、一般的には人には隠しておくべき肉体的な部分、特に性器やその周辺を指す隠語(婉曲表現)であり、「秘部」「陰部」「大事な所」などと同義です Also it shows up in adult work titles. |
|
| Comments: | I can't find a solid source for it though. |

| Comments: | Is there an established English translation for this? I think not Maybe link the other related terms across each other too? would make it easier for people to find the related terms and see how they differ. |
