Usage: ～の口を封じる。eijiro and wordreference both have it for "to muzzle". A useful E->J entry for certain.
We have an example sentence attached to 封じる that uses this.
I would argue that 動きを封じる, while more common, is a straightforward application of 封じる[2], while the use of 口 is more idiomatic and has more interesting English glosses.
We have many verbal 口を idiomatic expressions, this would be in good company. |
