It should be ik, right? The 長音符 (ー) is neither kanji nor kana but it represents a kana character.

I'm OK with the lit, but I don't really 
think we should include バター臭い as a 
kanji/reading, because if you look at the 
google results, you'll see most of them 
are 1) about the etymology of バタ臭い, or 
2) about something actually smelling of 
butter ("my fridge stinks", etc.). There 
are some real hits but I'm sure they're 
way less common in comparison with バタ臭い 
than what you could assume from the 
ngrams. (if we do keep it in, it should be 
marked as iK)
