Hapy to drop "light pole". If Brits still call things "telegraph poles", well so be it. As for "telephone poles", well our telco went undergrand about 60 years ago.

  Comments:
"Telegraph pole" is probably the most commonly used name in the UK. It's also in all the JEs.
Do we need "light pole"? I've never heard that before, and Google just returns images of street lights.
