黒山 [news2,nf39]
くろやま [news2,nf39]
1. [n]
《usu. as 〜の人だかり》
▶ mass (of people)
▶ large crowd

History:
4. A 2026-01-05 01:47:58  Robin Scott <...address hidden...>
  Comments:
It's hard to gloss it any other way. It's a figurative use of "black mountain" that doesn't exist in English.
Judging from the n-grams, it almost always appears as 黒山の人だかり.

I don't think this means a large crowd without the 人だかり part
