This can of course refer to the cup that instant noodles are served in but I don't think it's an abbreviation. I suggest dropping that sense. It's not supported by any of my refs. |

Yes, either we leave it as "cup" alone, or we spell out all the senses (GG5 has 6.) Possibly we could have "cup (drinking vessel, measure, brassiere, prize, etc.)" I'll put that in, and leave it for response. |

i'm happiest leaving this as it was. there are at least five meanings of "cup" for this term (e.g. bra cup, cup (~250 mL measurement), etc.), all of which are adequately captured by "cup" as a standalone gloss. "cup with handle;mug" rules out four of the five meanings, so additional senses have to be added to handle all of them |
