anyone can make up ateji for anything. it's like documenting intentional puns or misspellings in an english-english dictionary. there needs to be good justification for including an ateji as a kanji headword, esp. if it is the only one. (such justification being "it appears as the headword in a kokugo dictionary", etc.)
this should be a note at best.
so i would dump it as well, and i think that makes three of us who are at least iffy about this. |

You need to ask Anon who proposed it that way last month.
In general I'm a bit iffy about recording odd-ball ateji, but this is hardly a key part of the lexicon. I'll draft that in and see if the others like it. |
