see rejected submission on シャボン. 石鹸 was suggested as a headword there and シャボン was changed to gikun (which doesn't make sense because it can't be a gikun reading for the foreign word that it corresponds to). if anywhere, シャボン should be added as a gikun reading here.
however, 石鹸=シャボン is not supported by any dictionary, although daijs has 石鹸=サボン. i think that should be handled as gikun here or as an "also written as" note on サボン |
