I did have that thought after making the split. Daijr/s have them in separate entries but that's probably because they can't display different English spellings for different senses.
I wouldn't object to remerging them.

Personally wouldn't have split, as they're the same name, just with different orthographies. The Apple PC was named after the apple variety, and the other two were named after people.
