<upd_detl>Hi, submitter here. Comment in the meanwhile was not by me.
For what it's worth, in the work I was reading, the term was defined right after the mention:
(She is heartbroken and her friend is consoling her on the phone.)
I assume ぶったれてる is supposed to be ぶーたれてる

So the author is saying it's specifically holding back due to fear of getting dumped.
I don't know what a "slave of love" is and can't find any definition online so I can't judge the accuracy of that.</upd_detl>
