<upd_detl>Is this really an expression? I think for plant names like this that are derived from a "の" expression and are more commonly written in katakana, we normally just say they're nouns.

see 尖り笹の葉貝, 岡虎の尾, 山の芋, 山葵の木, 旅人の木, etc.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I added [exp] because I've seen editors commonly do so for nounのnoun terms. Though doing a search in JMDict for entries ending in 「の木」, there are 75 results, of which 28 are tagged [exp], so maybe this isn't as established as I thought.</upd_detl>
