i don't think wildly is esagerate at all (see "突拍子もなく" and "とめどなく") and foolishly doesn't seem appropriate to me
i'm not sure "shrilly" works alone as a gloss here, the point is the ようす/声 of the laugh</upd_detl>

I think this kind of secondary information is better conveyed through the example sentences. Unfortunately I don't see any sentences with this word on Tatoeba. Maybe if someone can find a good one from a public domain source like Aozora Bunko, we can add it and index it.</upd_detl>

The ones produced by AI chatbots are not translated, and they are pretty natural and certainly grammatically correct.</upd_detl>
