<upd_detl>直心 also has an entry in the kokugos with the reading じきしん. The meaning is similar, but it's Buddhist terminology.  Just to complicate it further 直心/じきしん seems to be used in 直心陰流, archery-related products and restaurants. The n-gram count probably derives from these. This probably needs to be a couple of entries.</upd_detl>
