Looks like we mostly don't do "meter (metre)" anymore.
Was surprised to see "metre" alone. "meter" certainly seems to be jmdict's overall preference.
The xref is what is called in English the "basis weight", but we measure in "lbs/500 sheets" (not far off from kg/1000 sheets when 1kg = 2.2lbs).
坪量 actually seems more common than the wikipedia entry under 米坪. (and 米坪量 is quite uncommon)</upd_detl>
