<upd_detl>Suggest removing [spec1].
Popular in the niche of horse racing, which has evidently generated a lot of literature. But this feels like an obscure term for most Japanese language students. (not rare, obviously, but not "hey, you should learn this"). yourei examples(400+) are predominantly horse racing. Other entries I found were merely ambiguous, and might have been horse racing too(no context).
eijiro doesn't have a definition for 斤量. wordreference doesn't have one. very few reverso entries. This term does not appear on the wikipedia page for "heavyweight boxer" in Japanese (a sports context where generic weigh-ins might occur). Appears to be predominantly a horse racing term
Etymology is that the lead weights used to make sure the horse carried its minimum burden were 斤. Or something like that.
Happens to come up in the paper industry. Turns up all over the place in a 斤量 意味 image search. (along with the horses)
See xref for more horseracing refs.
sankoku let me down. Basically gives [3], (scale mentioned, which is unusual for "weight" terms). Didn't mention horse racing at all.</upd_detl>
