<upd_detl>the wikipedia xref is "Companion Planting", but I think the current gloss is correct(except maybe pluralization). 

I guess it takes two plants to be companions of each other, so maybe the plural is justified.  the xref into here (随伴植物) is already plural.</upd_detl>
