<upd_detl>Note: this gloss is copied from the xref, with "esp. wooden" removed, since that seems not to apply here. Also, pluralized "warning",
Pretty sure this is not a "bulletin board" (a permanent fixture to which recent bulletins are affixed as needed), and doesn't seem to be restricted to street corners either. "bulletin" without "board" might have been alright. (Note: I see there is an apparent consensus on a different meaning of "bulletin board" than I am accustomed to. I will make a different note at 立て札).
Image search returns bulletins of the "paper/fabric notice hanging from bamboo pole" variety. Not evidently even "boards" to begin with.
"roadside" is itself even arguably redundant. Where else is there to put a notice? (in spite of the preference for crossroads indicated by 十 in 辻 itself, it seems these can be set up anywhere. In modern times, 辻札 seems more to refer to the style/purpose of the sign than the particular placement).</upd_detl>
