Doesn't appear to be "rare" necessarily, but given two agreeing comments on hinative, the fact that this is an onyomi with a more common kunyomi, an the fact that my modest, modern J-J dictionary doesn't even provide an entry for そうこん, I imagine that [form] is accurate enough.</upd_detl>
