<upd_detl>I'm not sure how to translate this word but I saw it in the following context:

「大丈夫?…荷物持ってもらってありがとう。ちょっと買いすぎすちゃったかな…」
確かに、2リットルのペットボトルが2本と、スイカ丸ごと1つという買い物はなかなかキテルよな。

It does not look like the normal 来ている to me.</upd_detl>

is really hard. I can't come up with anything that both 
reasonably fits the daijs example and the submitter's 
example. Not really sure either "on a high" or "in vogue"

<upd_detl>It's pretty clear that many of the occurrences of 来てる are just abbreviations of 来ている. Just checking Eijiro and GG5 examples I see:
GG5: 今お客さんが来てるんです. We have company right now.
GG5: だれか玄関に来てる. Someone is [There's someone] at the door.
Eij: 友達が来てるんなら紹介してよ。 : I see we have company here. Aren't you going to introduce us?
Eij: 郵便がきてるかどうか確かめる : see if post has come
I wouldn't want a situation where a someone looks up 来てる and only finds these slangy meanings.</upd_detl>
