<upd_detl>I think this needs to be split. With one exception all of the references I checked have it as two entries, apart from ルミナス which uses different kanji for each sense.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>I think the argument the anonymous contributor was making is that normally, you'd expect the bit that comes before が to be the subject. 
But then again, you can also say "足が治る", in which case the glosses make sense.
moving "to get better" to the front maybe helps a little? A note or something might be helpful too.</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>“to get better” is slightly more ambiguous which is why I placed “to recover” as the first gloss. 
Also, in response to the anonymous contributor, you can use this verb with people too, therefore “to recover” and “to get better” are valid glosses, as 
shown in this example from Wisdom: 病人はすぐに治った</upd_detl>

<upd_detl>Yes, the usual "subject = actor" doesn't apply in this case. Of the 81 Tanaka examples of 治る most are of the &lt;風邪,頭痛,病気,肺炎, etc&gt;が治る pattern. I think a note could help.</upd_detl>
