<upd_detl>I was wrong there. I think the terms are usually translated
快速   rapid, 急行   express, 特急   limited express.
特急 is faster than 快速 and 急行.
But is 急行 faster than 快速, or are the terms essentially synonyms? Not sure.</upd_detl>
