- 髪の根元のための洗い流さないセラム。根元から再生し、年齢を感じさせない髪へ。
- 使用感はゆるーいセラムで顔全体に広げてもとろっとしていてまとわりつく感じが好きでした。
- Revital GRANAS (by Shiseido): リバイタル グラナス セラム

I'm guessing it means something like "lotion".
ALC says セラム: serum〔化粧品用語〕
But I guess it doesn't really mean "serum" in my examples: I don't think serums are used in cosmetics.</upd_refs>

<upd_refs>Google Translate gives the following alternatives for 美容液:
- essence
- serum
- liquid cosmetics
- beauty essence
- beauty care liquid
and indeed I see that "serum" is in the EDICT definition of 美容液.
But is "serum" is an English word that can refer to liquid cosmetics, or is it Japlish?
In OED, I don't think there is a sense that is similar to 美容液:
.
serum
1a. Watery animal fluid, normal or morbid; spec. blood-serum, the greenish yellow liquid which separates from the clot when blood coagulates.
b. Therapeutics. The blood serum of an animal used as a therapeutic or diagnostic agent.
2a. attrib. (of 1), as serum albumin (cf. seralbumen n.), serum-globulin.
b. Used attrib. (with or without a following hyphen) to denote (the concentration of) substances in the serum.</upd_refs>
