It might be worthwhile to include as a direct translation of each word doesn't necessarily make perfect sense. "frequently sorry", "often excuse me". sumimasen can also not be combined with just any adverb: " （何度も電話をかけたとき） ○たびたびすみません ×しょっちゅうすみません ×よくすみません" http://home.alc.co.jp/db/owa/jpn_npa?sn=208
