      I agree that "(male) actor" looks better. It's unlikely that someone would look up "male actor". I don't think it's needed as a gloss.

      The term "actor" in English these days is gender neutral. The JEs tend to have actress or female actor for 女優.
      My preference is to have "actor (male)" here, and if reverse searches are needed, have "actor; male actor" as the gloss.

      Decided to change the definition as putting in "Male actor" does not make the term show up. Just changed it to make it easier to
