| Comments: | Daijs appears to have [1] as two different senses... I think it needs to be split. Reading a book with a Japanese teacher, and she told me there's a theatrical version: 舞台もあります. She used 舞台 this way like 10 times in the conversation. Confirmed with a second teacher, her sentence: 舞台を見に行く: to go see a play/show. You can google this structure, and there are endless results. 舞台もあります actually translates as "There a theatrical adaptation as well", but we can't very well put "theatrical adaptation" here. By comparison, you do not "舞台化を見に行く" (bad). I noticed on submitting that Robin mentioned the split in 2022. So, I agree. |
