| Comments: | I don't think "department" would typically be used for a broad top-level division like this. I didn't notice that Nihon University actually uses "college". Most Japanese 学部 are called faculties in English. Many American universities have a college/school of arts and sciences, which I think is equivalent to 文理学部. |
