| Comments: | I don't think a "rail motor" necessarily has an internal combustion engine. I don't think we need to mention gasoline. The switch from gasoline to diesel in trains happened very early, and there are other fuels besides diesel and gasoline that have been used historically. On reverso, this is the most popular translation for "diesel multiple unit" and "diesel train". Koj's definition describes a series of connected railcars (i.e. a train), not just a single railcar. |
