退がる 898
さがる is listed in the 訓義 section for 退 in 平凡社 字通
Mentioned in the 大漢和辞典 as well
But certainly scarce in references |
| |
Comments: |
Just saw this was already suggested in 2014. I think if it's actually a spelling sometimes encountered in the wild it should be worth having as an [sK]. With 100+ hits on yourei it's certainly justified |

=====
nikk's possible headwords for さがる:
表記
【下】色葉・和玉・文明・書言・ヘボン・言海
【垂・〓・黜】和玉
【殿・〓】書言 |
| |
Comments: |
that headword/reading combo is not recorded in any of my dictionaries (nor is that reading in any of my kanwa dictionaries). there are multiple senses for さがる, and it is unlikely that 退 applies to all of them (if 退 is worth recording at all). probably the new sense 3 at best |

I noticed while reading Japanese Wikipedia that "さがる" is apparently sometimes written as "退がる". Three example sentences from Japanese Wikipedia include "和尚の室を退がって、廊下伝いに自分の部屋へ帰ると", "自分に任せて退がってくれ", and "一歩退がっての確認を身を以って教えた". |
