I know we tend to imply a Japanese perspective for our entries (especially when 「国」 is involved), but I
think more context would help here. "Non-traditional" can mean many things and presumes a specific tradition.
Maybe "[expl] smaller Western-style tattoo chosen for self-expression (avoiding the stigma around irezumi)" or
simply " (as opposed to irezumi)", with an x-ref. |
