The word "empty" does not appear in eijiro's glosses, this seems to me like an inclusion of an unmarked [lit] gloss. This is JAPN101 material, everyone should know this anyway...
I agree with eijiro on "get" vs "become". Compare google of:

English has "on an empty stomach", but there's no special relation between that idiom this [exp].
In case you object, I won't rush ahead and change all the entries myself, but I'd recommend changing:
