Doesn't need a comma.

I guess I don't mind it returning.

for the record
やらずに後悔するより gets 59 hits on NDL, the first from 1974.
first one where "やって後悔した方が..." is added is from 1979 (and from then on it and other variants on it come to dominate the results)

Can we revisit this?
Robin: "I'm just generally opposed to adding long, non-idiomatic expressions that aren't in the refs, regardless of how common they are."

This a (clichéd) adage so accusing it of not being an idiom seems to miss the mark. Again, I think it's more worthwhile to include these rather than the hundreds of obscure ones in the kokugos (... though of course I'm responsible for adding many of those as well). I think we should include the kind of hackneyed phrases people actually use in contemporary Japanese.

(if we introduce a [cliché] tag I think it would fit better than [proverb].

OK, I've made this an example sentence: https://tatoeba.org/eng/sentences/show/7316608
I could go either way, but I suppose this is best off there.
