All the kokugos have 蜻蛉 for かげろう. Probably not ふゆう for 蜉蝣. Splitting it out. I don't think "ephemeropteran" is needed.

I can't find any evidence that 蜻蛉 is read かげろう. It usually has the (gikun) reading とんぼ.
