There's only one sense here. The proposed gloss is almost identical to the current glosses.
We have separate entries for 人並みはずれた and 人並みに. 人並み以上 could perhaps be added as new entry as well.

I think this entry focuses a bit too much on adjectival usage which makes it hard to figure out what it means when it is used as a noun (which seems to be its main use, despite the JEs) such as in the following samples:

「奴の運動神経なら何やっても人並以上には行くさ。」
「俺は何とか人並み程度に踊れるようになった。」
「先輩って何でも人並に出来るし」

I suggest the gloss "as much as the average person" although it would perhaps be better to have a sense of its own
