We have an ample number of 〇〇点 entries, it doesn't seem this should be out of place. It does seem that both 合流 and 合流点 can potentially just mean "confluence", but if you look at the math in the refs, it would seem that an explicit reference to the physical junction point of two rivers ("a confluence") is more likely to be either of 合流点 or 合流地点 than just 合流 alone.
